Equipment Concrete Bases & Pedestals

Equipment bases are interface elements, not isolated concrete. Dimensions, levels, openings, anchors, upstands, waterproofing interfaces and housekeeping pads must align with equipment layouts, MEP requirements and structural details before concrete placement. ERAMCO reviews these packages against approved information and actual site conditions.

Freeze the base detail before execution

Dimensions, heights, levels, equipment position, openings, dowels, anchor bolts, finish requirements and waterproofing interfaces should be confirmed before formwork and reinforcement proceed.

Civil and MEP coordination at one interface

Conflicts between a base and service routes or maintenance zones can create avoidable breaking and modification after casting. Civil, mechanical and electrical interfaces should therefore be resolved before execution.

  • Review maintenance clearances around equipment
  • Coordinate AHU/FAHU, pump and equipment bases as applicable
  • Dimensional checks before handover to the next trade
